The Swanston Academic Building will add to RMIT University’s portfolio of significant architecture on its Swanston Street Campus. The facility will be a major teaching and learning focus for the campus, with a range of innovative student-centred learning spaces developed around collaborative pedagogies.

RWA worked in conjunction with Lyons to deliver eight unique portal spaces within the building. The Swanston Academic Building Portals will play an important role within the culture of the University by providing passive areas for relaxation, contemplation as well as providing learning opportunities and a variety of different teaching spaces.
